Sun Tzu
Little is known about the Chinese warrior and philosopher Sun Tzu (544-496 BC) and his life during the so-called "Warring States Period," immediately following the decline of the Zhou dynasty. It is believed that he was born in the state of Qi, which is present-day Shandong Province on the northern coast of China. From 512 BC, he served in the Kingdom of Wu as a general and military advisor. His military successes led him to write "The Art of War," undoubtedly one of the most important and foundational works of Chinese literature over the past 2,500 years.
