Athanasios Margaris

Athanasios I. Margaris received his Bachelor's Degree from the Department of Physics at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1992, his MSc in Computer Science from the Computer Science Department at the University of Sheffield in 1995, and his PhD from the Department of Applied Informatics at the University of Macedonia in 2003. His doctoral thesis focused on the study of chaotic attractors and nonlinear systems using neural networks. For the past 10 years, he has worked as a Scientific Associate and Lecturer under Presidential Decree 407 at Technological and Higher Education Institutions, teaching courses in Physics, Applied Mathematics, and Informatics. His research interests lie in the fields of mathematical physics, digital signal processing, and neural networks. He has published over 40 papers in scientific journals and conference proceedings both in Greece and internationally. He has authored 4 books in the fields of informatics and applied mathematics and translated 6 others from English to Greek on related subjects. Currently, he is working as a Scientific/Laboratory Associate in the Departments of Information Technology and Telecommunications Technology and Civil Engineering at the Technological Educational Institute of Larissa.
