Lindsey Davis
Lindsey Davis was born in 1949 in Birmingham. After earning her degree in English literature from the University of Oxford, she was appointed to the civil service, but now she is exclusively dedicated to writing books. She was awarded the first CWA Ellis Peters Historical Dagger for her bestseller "Two for the Lions." Recently, she was voted one of the fifty most successful authors in the Waterstone Reading Survey, and in 1999, she received the Sherlock Award for Best Comic Detective for the protagonist of her books, Roman Marcus Didius Falco. In 2012, she was elected president of the British Society of Authors.
