Nikos A. Papanastou

Nikos A. Papanastou was born in 1931 in Mouzaki, a semi-mountainous region of Ilia. He completed his secondary education in Pyrgos. He pursued a career in the Merchant Navy. After a long tenure as a radio operator (marconi) on ocean-going ships, he transitioned to land, working at the Civil Aviation Authority while also serving as a professor and director of studies at the "Thales" Maritime School. However, his nostalgia for life at sea and his continuous connection with maritime elements led him to resign early from the Civil Aviation Authority to return to the oceans.
