Anthony Horowitz

The British author Anthony Craig Horowitz was born in April 1956 in Middlesex. He began writing at the age of eight and has not stopped since. He has written numerous books for children, as well as scripts for popular and award-winning television series and films, along with plays. He has authored more than forty books and is the writer and creator of the award-winning detective series Foyle’s War, Midsomer Murders, and the more recent Collision, among other television works. In early 2011, Horowitz was chosen by the Arthur Conan Doyle Estate to write a new novel featuring Sherlock Holmes. This marks the first time the estate managing the intellectual legacy of the creator of the most famous detective of all time has officially commissioned a work featuring Holmes. His books have been published in at least twelve countries, garnering thousands of devoted readers. His novel "Groosham Grange" won the Lancashire Book Award and the European Award, while its radio adaptation for the BBC received the Best Children's Radio Drama Award from the Writers' Guild.
