Maria E. Rantzou

Maria Rantzou was born in Thessaloniki. She holds a degree from the School of Theology, Department of Theology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and from the School of Education, Department of Primary Education at the University of Western Macedonia. She successfully completed her postgraduate studies in the Department of Theology with a specialization in Pedagogy. After receiving a scholarship from the Diakonisches Werk department of the Evangelical Church and the Ministry of Culture of the Bavarian State in Germany, she pursued studies at the Roman Catholic, Evangelical, and Orthodox Theological School of Munich. During these years, she participated in interdisciplinary seminars with a focus on pedagogy and psychology. Her studies were further enriched with specialization in the field of mental support for patients and prisoners. She has participated in international conferences with presentations of papers. In December 2000, she was awarded a Ph.D. from the School of Theology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specializing in Pedagogy. She has taught Pedagogy and Psychology at ASPAITE Thessaloniki, worked at the private school Kalamari-Adamantios School of Thessaloniki, and currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Theology at the School of Theology of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with a focus on "Catechetics and Christian Pedagogy."
