John Carey

John Carey was born in London. He studied on a scholarship at the University of Oxford, where he currently teaches English Literature. He is renowned for his reviews and presentations in literary magazines, newspapers, as well as on the radio, and has authored numerous books, including studies on Dickens, Thackeray, and Donne. He has also edited publications for "Faber and Faber," such as The Faber Book of Utopias, The Intellectuals and the Masses, The Faber Book of Science, and Pure Pleasure.
