
Eleni Svoronou
Eleni Svoronou (b. 1965) is a graduate of the School of Philosophy at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with a postgraduate specialization in Cultural Heritage Management from the University of Birmingham. She serves as the Head of Environmental Education at WWF Greece. In addition, she writes for children and young adults. Many of her books have been shortlisted for the State Literary Awards, the Public Book Awards, and the literary magazine Diavazo, while some of her works have received Honorable Mentions from the Women's Literary Society and the international White Raven distinction. She writes children's literature reviews for the magazine Anagnostis and has been a member of the Anagnostis review committee (category: children's literature) since 2016.
She teaches creative writing in workshops for both children and adults and facilitates educational workshops focused on nature and culture. She has also taught creative writing for adults with a focus on children's books in the seminar series of the National Book Centre. She enjoys sharing reading experiences with both young and adult audiences.
