Giorgos Papagiannopoulos

George Papagiannopoulos was born in Athens in 1954. He graduated from the Kallithea Boys' High School. He studied architecture in Florence from 1971 to 1977. Subsequently, he graduated from the Greek Mediterranean Center for Arabic and Islamic Studies and the National School of Public Administration. He works at the Ministry of Environment, Planning and Public Works (YPEXODE). During the seven-year dictatorship from 1967 to 1974, he was actively involved in the Student Movement and the resistance struggle, as part of the Panhellenic Liberation Movement (PAK). He is one of the authors of the September 3, 1974 declaration, the founding document of PASOK during the post-dictatorship period. He has written numerous articles for magazines and newspapers on political, cultural, and social topics. He is a regular contributor to, among others, the magazines "Ardin," "Tetradia," and the weekly newspaper "Paron."
