Lemony Snicket

The literary pseudonym of American author and screenwriter Daniel Handler (San Francisco, 1970), for the book series "A Series of Unfortunate Events". On his official website, www.lemonysnicket.com, it is noted: "Lemony Snicket was born in a small provincial town where the residents were suspicious and prone to trouble. He now lives in a big city. In his spare time, he collects evidence and the Authorities consider him something of an expert. With the book "The Bad Beginning," he launched the successful series "A Series of Unfortunate Events," featuring the three Baudelaire siblings, which comprises a total of 13 books and was recently made into a film." In 2002, the humorous autobiography "Lemony Snicket: The Unauthorized Autobiography" was published in English. Daniel Handler, who is still actively involved in music (he sings and plays the accordion), also wrote the screenplays for the films "Rick," 2003, based on Verdi's "Rigoletto," and "Kill the Poor," 2006.
