
Quentin Skinner
Quentin Skinner studied at Caius College, Cambridge, where he is now an honorary fellow. Since 1996, he has been a professor of modern history at the University of Cambridge, teaching philosophy of history, contemporary political philosophy, history of political philosophy, and modern intellectual history. He is a member of various other academic institutions and holds numerous honorary titles. He is considered one of the pioneers of the "Cambridge School."
His academic interests focus on the history of ideas, particularly the Renaissance and modern periods of European history. His most well-known works include "The Foundations of Modern Political Thought" (1978), "Hobbes and Republican Liberty" (1996), and "Regarding Method" (2002).
