Elisavet Arseniou

Elisavet Arseniou is a Professor of Modern Greek Philology in the Department of Greek Philology at the Democritus University of Thrace. She was born in Volos. She studied Greek Philology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She received her master's and doctoral degrees in Modern Greek Philology from the Centre for Byzantine, Ottoman and Modern Greek Studies at the University of Birmingham. She has also taught in the Department of Philology at the University of Crete. Her publications focus on issues of modernism and avant-garde in Greek literature.
