Natassa Chasioti MA, (University of Surrey, UK) is a dance critic and historian. She began her professional career in 1992 and has worked for numerous magazines, newspapers, radio, and television, including To Vima, Tachydromos, Athens News, Imerisia, Avgi, Elle, Votre Beaute, Faqpress, Ballet/Tanz, Dance Theatre Journal, Danza & Danza, Seven X, NET, and En Lefko, among others. Since 2000, she has been teaching Dance History at the Professional Department of the State School of Dance. She has translated 11 books, including the Diary Notebooks of Vaslav Nijinsky. Her interests include education and new technologies, dance and politics, issues of gender identity, psychoanalysis, and pop culture. She has produced a documentary on Contemporary Dance in Greece (NET 2001), and her video-dance "Lois & Clark" was featured at the new choreography platform at PACT-Zollverein (2004). A second video titled "The Splendour and the Blaze" (2006) explores women murderers from ancient Greek drama. She has represented her country at many significant international events (Germany, Belgium, Singapore, Canada, Ireland, Japan, Poland, etc.). She has lectured in Greece and abroad and has taught in numerous educational seminars, such as the adult education program at Athens College (1996). She served on the dance grants and awards committee of the Ministry of Culture (1997-2004), was Vice President of the World Dance Alliance (2002-2006), and President of the Friends of the State School of Dance Association (2001-2005/2012- ). She is a member of the committee for Professional Dance Schools of the Ministry of Culture (2012- ). "Bus Trip" is her third book, following a collection of interviews titled "Great Choreographers - Interviews" and the graphic novel "The Wedding."
