Richard E. Boyatzis

Richard E. Boyatzis is a professor in the Department of Organizational Behavior, Psychology, and Cognitive Science at the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University (USA), and in the Department of Human Resources Management at ESADE (Spain). He holds a degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Harvard University. He has authored over 100 scientific articles on leadership, motivation, behavioral change, emotional intelligence, and managerial skills, as well as six books. His book with Daniel Goleman, "Primal Leadership: Realizing the Power of Emotional Intelligence," has become an international bestseller and has been translated into 28 languages. His recent book, "Resonant Leadership," was published in Greek in 2008. He has delivered thousands of speeches and lectures worldwide on leadership and emotional intelligence. He also has extensive professional experience as a consultant for Fortune 500 companies and has previously served as president of the consulting firm McBer.
