John Boardman

Sir Boardman John was born in 1927 and studied at Chigwell School and Magdalene College, Cambridge. He lived in Greece for several years, three of which he served as the assistant director of the British School at Athens. He has conducted excavations in Smyrna, Crete, Chios, and Libya. He has written extensively on the art and archaeology of ancient Greece.
