Eleni Zacharopoulou Iliopoulou was born in Tropea, Gortynia - Arcadia. She studied at the Pedagogical Academy of Tripoli. She writes poetry and essays. In 1994, she published the poetry collection "Exit from Calmness," which was awarded by the French Academy "Lutece." In 1995, she published the essay "The Decoration" by Demosthenes Zade. In 1999, she received an accolade in the "International Epigram Competition" (DEEL). In 1996-1997, she was awarded by the Literary Society "Parnassos" in the Panhellenic Poetry Competition. The same society presented her poetry in the "Parnassos" hall. Her poetry collection "Mutual Transfer" (Friends' Editions, 1999) was awarded by the "Hellenic Society of Christian Letters." Poems from this collection, translated into French, won a silver medal in the international poetry competition "Delia" in Italy in 1999. She collaborates with various literary magazines and newspapers. She has been featured in both Greek and international anthologies. Her poems have been translated into French in "Lychno," into Italian in "Poeti Greci contemporanei" (Contemporary Greek Poets), and in Slovenia. She is a member of the Hellenic Society of Christian Letters, the Organization for the Internationalization of the Greek Language, and the Society of Authors.
