Zecharia Sitchin
Zecharia Sitchin was born in Russia and raised in Palestine, where he studied modern and ancient Hebrew, other Semitic and European languages, the Old Testament, and the history and archaeology of the Near East. He graduated from the University of London with a degree in economic history and worked as a journalist and editor for many years. He is one of the few scholars who have managed to read and interpret ancient Sumerian and Akkadian texts. His books are based on texts and information recorded by the ancient civilizations of the Near East. They have been widely translated, reissued repeatedly, released in Braille, and featured in radio and television programs. He currently lives and writes in New York.
