Viktoria Papadatou

Born in Athens a few years before the German occupation, she is the third child of the academic Vassos Krimbas and Aristea Kalokairinou - Isychaki. She studied chemistry in Geneva and specialized in biochemistry. After two years of work at the Biochemical Laboratory of the Hellenic Anticancer Institute and another fifteen years as a university assistant, she retired and permanently left the field of chemistry. Since 1971, she has been publishing in literary magazines, and with the encouragement of her husband, Petros Papadatos, a professor at the University of Athens, she has published 15 poetry books and 19 prose books (including novels, essays, short stories, narratives, novellas, personal accounts, etc.). She has numerous publications in anthologies and magazines. She participated in the 6th International Cretological Conference in 1986 in Chania, presenting unpublished historical material. Additionally, she has translation work.
