David Crystal

David Crystal is one of the world's most distinguished linguists. He is an Honorary Professor of Linguistics at the University of Wales (Bangor). He has edited numerous general encyclopedias and authored educational textbooks on language study, such as the "Cambridge Encyclopedia of the English Language" (1995) and the "Encyclopedic Dictionary of Language" (Blackwell, 1992). He is also the editor of Blackwell's linguistics series "The Language Library." Additionally, he is a regular contributor to radio and television programs. He resides in Holyhead, Wales.
