Lena Kalaitzi - Oflidi

Lena Kalaitzi-Oflidi and Simos Oflidis are a couple. They live and work in Thessaloniki and have been writing together since 1989. In 1996, they published "Karagiozika of Thessaloniki," three plays awarded by the Ministry of Culture. In 1998, they released the short stories "West of Salonica in the Shacks with the Swans." That same year, they published the travelogue "Monoxylitis," an edition by the Holy Monastery of Dionysiou on Mount Athos. In 2001, they published three plays titled "Three from Troy," one of which was awarded by the Ministry of Culture. From her personal journey, Lena Kalaitzi-Oflidi has presented "The Tripe Shops of the East in the Thessaloniki of the West" in 1994, and the children's play "The Whirlwind and the Nightingale," which participated in the Ithaca theater competition in 1988.
