Laokratis Vassis

Laokratis Vassis was born in Rizovouni, Preveza, in March 1945. He is a teacher (graduate of the Zosimaia Pedagogical Academy of Ioannina) and a modern Greek philologist (graduate of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Ioannina). He is the president of the Society for Education and Culture "Entelecheia." He is an honorary member of the Board of Directors of K.E.TH.E.A. (Therapy Center for Dependent Individuals) and a member of the Board of Directors of the Friends of the Museum of Contemporary Art "Theodoros Papagiannis." He has served as a member of the National Radio and Television Council (E.S.R.) and as Director of Studies at Geitonas Schools (Vari, Attica). His articles and book reviews have been published in newspapers and magazines such as "Avgi," "Eleftherotypia," "Kathimerini," "Anti," "Ardin," and "To Paron." He has participated with presentations in seminars and conferences on educational, cultural, and contemporary issues of general concern.
