Eleni Anna CHlepa
Architect Eleni Anna Chlepa holds a Ph.D. from the School of Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens (2008) and a master's degree in Monument Restoration from the University of Rome (1986). She has conducted numerous scientific studies and developed specialized projects focused on architectural heritage: historical and archival research, studies on the enhancement and unification of archaeological sites, restoration and conservation studies of ancient, Byzantine, and modern monuments, as well as urban redevelopment projects. As a UN expert, she has worked on a program documenting and preserving medieval monuments in Cyprus. She has published books and articles primarily on Hellenistic and Roman architecture, the historical and theoretical aspects of monument protection, and the history of restorations. She has taught in postgraduate programs in Greece and Italy. She is a member of several national and international cultural heritage protection organizations, including Europa Nostra, the Archaeological Society at Athens, and the Christian Archaeological Society. She has been awarded national and international accolades, including the Europa Nostra Award (Diploma) for the project "Restoration and Reconstruction of the Arcadian Gate and part of the walls of Ancient Messene" (2005) and the Europa Nostra distinction for the project "Stabilization, Reconstruction, and Restoration of the Ancient Theatre of Argos" (2010).
