Michael J. Sandel

Michael J. Sandel was born in 1953. A graduate of Brandeis University and a doctorate holder from the University of Oxford, he is a professor of political philosophy at Harvard University. He has served as a visiting professor at the Sorbonne and Oxford Universities and is a regular contributor to the New York Times and The New Republic. Other books by him include: "Liberalism and Its Critics" (1984) "Democracy's Discontent: America in Search of a Public Philosophy" (1996).
