Simon Armitage

Simon Armitage was born in West Yorkshire in 1963. He is considered one of the significant contemporary British poets. He has published nine poetry collections, including "Killing Time" (1999) and "Selected Poems" (2001). His work "All Points North" received critical acclaim. He writes for television, radio, and film, and has also written four plays. He teaches at Manchester Metropolitan University. "Little Weaknesses" is his first novel. He lives near Huddersfield with his wife and their daughter.
