
Stathis Valoukos
Stathis Valoukos began his career as a director of short films and documentaries, one of which was honored with the Quality Award from the Ministry of Culture in 1983 (Souvenirs from Weimar). He went on to write scripts for numerous television series, collaborated on screenwriting for feature films, and his satirical theatrical monologues were performed by an Athenian theater troupe. He has also authored several books: "Filmography of Greek Cinema" (a film guide), "Film Noir" (a monograph), "To Kill the Devil" (a crime novella), "The Hero of the Next Page" (short stories), "Dictionary of World Cinema Directors" (published in four updated editions every three years), "Greek Television" (a history and presentation of dramatized programming from 1968-1998), and finally, "The Script" (1997), a study on the structure and technique of writing a film script, which was selected as a university textbook and is taught at two universities (University of the Aegean and Panteion University). He is a member of the Greek Directors' Guild, the Greek Screenwriters' Association, and the Panhellenic Film Critics Association.
