
Glykeria Mpasdeki
Glykeria Basdeki was born in Larissa in 1969. She studied History, Greek Philology, and Creative Writing. She lives in Xanthi and works as a philologist in secondary education. She has published the poetry collections "It's Dangerous to Open Your Door to Unknown Little Ones" (Plethron, 1989), "Pull the Chain, Dear" (Endymion, 2012, 2nd ed. Bibliotheque, 2014), "Theodoros Kolokotronis" (Bibliotheque, 2016), and "A Little Help, Please!" (Bibliotheque, 2018). Her short stories are included in collective editions. She maintains the blog "Crying Game" (lifo.gr) and writes for print and online media. Her plays have been presented in the theater, including "Stella Travel/The Promised Land" (dir. Bijoux de Kant/G. Skourletis, Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, 2013), "Ramona Travel/The Land of Kindness" (dir. Bijoux de Kant/G. Skourletis, Athens Festival, 2014), "Donna Abbandonata or You Have Upset Me Greatly, Mr. George" (dir. Th. Gonis, Philippi Festival, 2014), "Oh!/(Re)reading the Wax Doll by Chrysomallos" (dir. Bijoux de Kant/G. Skourletis, Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, 2014), which were published in a single volume ("Four Plays," Bibliotheque, 2015).
