Giles Milton

Giles Milton was born in Buckinghamshire in 1966 and studied at the University of Bristol. He is a historian and the author of bestsellers such as "The Riddle and the Knight," "White Gold," "Samurai William," as well as the book "Paradise Lost" (Minos, 2008), which provides a gripping account of the destruction of Smyrna and has sold over 25,000 copies in Greece to date. His books have achieved international success and have been translated into 20 languages. Additionally, he has written three children's books, two of which were illustrated by his wife, Alexandra. He is also a journalist specializing in the history of discoveries, with articles published in most British newspapers as well as many international ones. During his research, he traveled throughout Europe and the East. He lives in South London with his wife and three daughters.
