Will Ferguson

Will Ferguson was born in Canada. At the age of sixteen, he set out to travel around the world, living in various Canadian cities and working in different professions. From 1985, he spent a year in Ecuador before returning to Toronto in 1986 to study film production and screenwriting. Between 1990 and 1995, he participated in a program teaching English abroad, which took him to Japan as a teacher. Today, at thirty-eight years old, he lives in Calgary with his wife and two sons and writes for magazines. He has authored and published nine books, including travel guides, travelogues, and satires. "Happiness" is his most popular work, having been published in 26 countries and translated into 19 languages. It was also adapted into a radio series on CBC Radio and was nominated for the Commonwealth Prize.
