Kurt Cobain was born on February 20, 1967, in Hoquiam, a small town northwest of Seattle. He was the leader and founder of the legendary band Nirvana. Nirvana, who released their first album "Bleach" in 1989, skyrocketed to the top with the album "Nevermind" in 1991. This blend of punk, pop, and hard rock changed the face of modern rock, creating the new musical style known as grunge, and gave a huge boost to the Seattle music scene. This album has sold millions of copies and is considered one of the most important records of all time by the world's leading music publications. As a creator, Cobain exerted a decisive influence on his contemporaries and continues to be a point of reference for the new generation of rock musicians. He died by suicide on April 5, 1994.
