Jonathan Coe

Jonathan Coe was born in Birmingham in 1961. He studied literature at Trinity College, University of Cambridge, and holds a doctorate from the University of Warwick, with his dissertation focusing on Henry Fielding's work, "Tom Jones." He taught at the University of Warwick and simultaneously worked as a musician, composing jazz, and as a journalist, being a regular contributor to "The Guardian" and a film critic for "New Statesman." His book "Middle England" was awarded the Prix du Livre Européen in 2019.
