Mary Beard

Mary Beard is a Professor of Classics at the University of Cambridge, a fellow of Newnham College, and a classics editor at the Times Literary Supplement. She is also a fellow of the British Academy and a corresponding member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. In 2016, she presented the documentary "Pompeii: New Secrets Revealed with Mary Beard" on BBC 1 and the four-episode series "Mary Beard's Ultimate Rome: Empire Without Limit" on BBC 2.
