Stavroula Tsinorema is a Professor of Modern and Contemporary Philosophy and Bioethics at the Department of Philosophy and Social Studies, a founding member and Director of Studies of the Graduate Program in "Bioethics," and Director of the Bioethics Laboratory at the University of Crete. She holds a degree in philosophy from the University of Athens and earned her Ph.D. in moral philosophy from the University of Exeter. She has served as a member of the National Council for Research and Technology and is a member of the National Ethics Committee for Clinical Studies (National Organization for Medicines). Her research and writing focus on moral and social philosophy, bioethics, epistemology, and the philosophy of language and mind.
