Judith S. Beck

Dr. Judith S. Beck is the director of the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research in Philadelphia and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychology and Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania. She has been involved for many years in training psychotherapists in Cognitive Therapy, both within and outside the university. She has delivered numerous lectures and organized workshops in the United States and other countries on topics such as the treatment of depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety and panic disorders, personality disorders, relapse prevention, and couples' issues. Her father, Aaron Beck, M.D., the founder of Cognitive Therapy, is considered one of the most prominent psychotherapists in the history of psychology.
