Georgios Michalakopoulos

Georgios B. Michalakopoulos is a Permanent Assistant Professor in the Department of Translation and Interpreting at the Ionian University, specializing in Turkey: Literature and Culture. Born in Pyrgos, Ilia, he graduated from the Department of Translation and Interpreting at the Ionian University, holding a Master's and a Doctorate focusing on Middle Eastern and Turkish issues. His academic career is centered on the study of contemporary Turkey in the fields of Culture, Literature, and Politics. He has participated in international conferences and academic training programs and contributes articles to scientific journals, defense-related publications, and newspapers. He has been an associate of the Institute of International Relations (I.I.R.) and a Special Scientific Researcher at the Institute of Defense Analyses (I.D.A.) of the Ministry of National Defense. He has delivered lectures and courses at Military Production Schools and collaborates with the Greek Police academies. He is a member of the Laboratory of Geocultural Analyses and the Hellenic Society of International Law and International Relations.
