Jacoline Vinke

H Jacoline Vinke was born and raised in the Netherlands. She studied economics in London and, after working in Paris for the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the United Nations, she moved to Athens with her husband, Giorgos Papakonstantinou, and their two children. After several years, she still believes it was the right decision. This move brought many changes—both small and large—such as her transformation from an international organization executive to a travel book author. The book "Unique Small Hotels in Greece" (published by "Explorer," 2003) was the result of two years of exploring the most beautiful corners of Greece. In a way, it served as a tribute to her second homeland. Her research in the travel sector continued with the books "Traveling in Greece: 80 Hotels and Guesthouses with Character" (published by "Road," 2006) and "Unique Small Hotels in Greece" (published by "Papasotiriou," June-August 2013), all three available in both Greek and English.
