Zorz Sari

Zorz Sari (1925-2012) was born in Athens to a French mother and a Greek father. During the German occupation, she began attending the Drama School of Dimitris Rondiris. Later, in Paris, she continued her acting studies at Charles Dullin's school. In 1962, she returned to Greece, where she continued to perform in theater and cinema. Her writing career began in 1969 with "The Treasure of Vagia," a novel that started as a game with her children and their friends and has enjoyed and continues to enjoy great publishing success. Since 1969, she wrote novels for children and teenagers, novellas, children's plays, and stories for young children. She also translated fourteen novels from French. All her books have gone through several reprints, and some have been awarded. In 1994, she received the State Prize for Children's Literature as well as an award from the Circle of the Greek Children's Book, which honored her again in 1999. She was also nominated for the H.C.
