Academic Prof. DDDr. Habil. Alexios P. Panagopoulos was born in Ano Kastritsi, Rio Patras, Achaia in 1966. On December 26, 2018, as an international recognition of Greece, he was unanimously elected by the presidencies (Russia, Czech Republic, Belarus, Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria, Serbia) of the Slavic Academy of Sciences, Moscow, as a Regular Academic Member, upon the recommendation of the Academy's President, Prof. Sergey Baburin. He completed his secondary education in Patras. He studied law (degree), theology (degree), and philology (degree). He earned a Doctorate in Political Sciences with a dissertation on "The Political Significance of the Activities of the Orthodox Church in Albania 1990-2005". He also holds a Doctorate in Theological Pedagogical Sciences with a dissertation on "The Eschatological Dimensions of Pedagogy according to John Chrysostom". Additionally, he holds a Doctorate in Bioethics, Biopsychology, Medical Anthropology & Political Philosophy on Hippocrates & Chrysostom. He has taught as a Professor at all levels of education. He served as a scientific collaborator and taught at universities and other educational institutions such as Alfa University of Serbia, Forkup University Nicola Tesla, the Institute of Saint Gregorios in Mexico & Costa Rica, the Institute of Natural Studies in the USA, the European University of B&H, PTF Novi Sad, the Faculty of European Studies & Law in Montenegro, South West University Neofit Rilski Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria, PATES SELETE Patras, OAED Vocational Training Institutes, PEK, among others. He was the headmaster of the Athoniada Academy of Mount Athos. He participated in postgraduate seminars in European cities such as Geneva, Paris, Munich, Vienna, Belgrade, Warsaw, Budapest, Sofia, Istanbul, Israel, and the USA. He has published numerous articles in newspapers and magazines, as well as a series of books on historical, pedagogical, legal, and philosophical content. He was a scholarship recipient of the Serbian Government and the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) for postdoctoral research in Law with a focus on "State and Religion Relations". He was also an IKY scholarship recipient at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Warsaw, an Orthodox Center scholarship recipient in Chambésy, Geneva, and a DAAD scholarship recipient at the University of Munich. He received the academic title of Habilitation with a dissertation on "Custom in the Practice of the Eastern Church from the Perspective of State and Church and the Historical and Socio-Anthropological Particularities, Especially in Greece and Serbia". He holds a two-year master's degree in Legal Sciences with a focus on "Ancient Spartan Law". He studied music and holds a Diploma in Byzantine Music, Special Harmony, and Vocal Music. He has been awarded for his work, such as by the Society of Achaean Studies in 1998. He is a member of scientific, educational, and political associations in Serbia and the Balkans, where he has been active. He is a regular member of the Society of Writers of Southwestern Greece and a member of the Association of Greek Slavists. He is a regular speaker at the Diakideios School of the People of Patras. He served as an elected advisor to the local council of the PETH Patras. He was an elected member of the ELME Evrytania board and an alternate representative at the OLME general assembly and an alternate elected YSEE member. He was a former mayoral candidate in the former Municipality of Rio. He is a member of the Union of Provincial Press Journalists. For many years, he hosted talk shows on various radio stations. A contributor to newspapers such as "i Gnomi," "Peloponnisos," "i Foni tou Riou," among others, he has been a member of the advisory committees on education, youth, and nomenclature of the former Municipality of Rio. His books have been prefaced or reviewed by prominent figures from the academic, political, and ecclesiastical spheres. His writing and speaking activities revolve around his broad field of scientific expertise, with a tendency to popularize knowledge, addressing both scientists and the general public.
