Colum McCann

Colum McCann was born in 1965 in Dublin. He has written two other novels and two collections of short stories. He contributes to magazines such as "The New Yorker," "The New York Times Magazine," "Atlantic Monthly," and "GQ," and lives in New York with his wife and two children. He has won the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature and has been awarded the Irish Times Literature Prize and the IMPAC Award. He has also won the Pushcart Prize and was the first recipient of the Grace Kelly Memorial Foundation Award.
