Stefanos A. Paipetis

Stefanos Paipetis is an emeritus professor of engineering in the Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Patras. He is a mechanical engineer from the National Technical University of Athens, a mechanical engineer from Imperial College London, and holds a doctorate from the University of London. His research area was advanced aerospace materials, and he has been responsible for international collaboration programs, with many of his books and studies published by foreign publishers. His broader interests include ancient technology, philosophy, poetry, and literature. He has translated works by William Shakespeare, William Blake, Walt Whitman, John Keats, among others. His poems and other works have been published in literary magazines.
