Jamie Oliver
Jamie Oliver was born in Clavering, Essex, and developed an interest in cooking from a young age by helping out in the kitchen of his parents' pub. He became famous in 1999 with the television show "Naked Chef," which emphasized cooking with simple ingredients, and later with the show "Jamie’s Kitchen," filmed at his restaurant, Fifteen, which provided jobs and training to underprivileged youth. His social orientation (interest in the unemployed, campaign for healthy school meals), his more relaxed approach to cooking (simple and local ingredients, recipes for everyone), and his promotion of the often misunderstood English cuisine, along with Italian cuisine, made him extremely well-known and popular. He has been honored with numerous awards, from the MBE to the TED Prize, is the author of many internationally bestselling cookbooks, and owns restaurants around the world. In 2015, Richtopia ranked him second on the list of the most influential British entrepreneurs.
