Giorgos THeocharis

Giorgos Ch. Theocharis was born in 1951 in Desfina, Phocis. Since 1965, he has resided in Antikyra, Boeotia. He retired from the aluminum production industry in Aspropyrgos, Boeotia, where he worked as a mechanical maintenance technician. He is a poet, and his poems have been translated into English, French, German, Spanish, and Albanian. He also publishes essays and literary criticism. He is a member of the Society of Authors. He is the editor of the literary magazine "Emvolimon," published in Aspropyrgos, Boeotia. He also contributed to the editorial team of the print newspaper "Book Press." He has published the poetry books: "Poor Ore" (published by "Emvolimon" magazine, 1990), "Crop Rotation" (Public Central Library of Levadia, 1996), "Memento" (Kastaniotis, 2004), "Certificates of Mortality" (Contemporary Expression, 2014), "Abundance of Bones" (Melani, 2018), and has edited the collective volume of historical testimonies "Distomo, June 10, 1944: The Holocaust" (Contemporary Expression, 2010), which was honored with the State Prize for Chronicle-Testimony.
