Georgia Gotsi

Georgia Gotsi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Philology at the University of Patras. She studied Philology at the University of Athens and Comparative Philology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (USA). She holds a Ph.D. in Modern Greek Philology from King's College London (Department of Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies) and has taught at Brown University (USA). Her research and teaching focus on modern Greek and European literature as well as literary theory. She is the author of the book "Η ζωή εν τη πρωτενούση. θέματα αστικής πεζογραφίας από το τέλος τον 19ου αιώνα" (Nefeli, Athens 2004) and has edited the publication of Ioannis Kondylakis's novel "Οι Άθλιοι των Αθηνών" (Nefeli, Athens 1999), as well as the special issue of the magazine Anti (1997) on the "Greek Apocryphal Novel of the 19th Century." Her critical articles and studies have been published in collective volumes and both Greek and international journals.
