Dimitris G. Panagiotopoulos

Dimitris G. Panagiotopoulos is a historian and directs the Documentation Center for the History of Greek Agriculture at the Agricultural University of Athens. He teaches History of the Rural World and History of Agricultural Science in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Development at AUA. He also teaches in the Master's Program "Historical Research, Teaching, and New Technologies" in the Department of History at the Ionian University. His research interests include the history of agriculture, as well as the political, economic, and social organization of the modern Greek state and rural areas in the 19th and 20th centuries. Additionally, he focuses on the formation and evolution of higher education and the scientific and academic elites in the 19th and 20th centuries. He is the author of five books and several related articles in Greek and English.
