Eyi Pini

Evi Pini is an archaeologist who has been working in the field of museum education at the Ministry of Culture since 1990. She has designed archaeological educational exhibitions and programs in museums and archaeological sites in Attica and other regional cities. Since 2012, as the head of the Educational Programs Office of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Piraeus and Islands, she has been designing and implementing educational activities at the archaeological museums of Piraeus, Salamis, Aegina, Poros, and Kythira. In addition, she creates printed and audiovisual materials for the museums in her region and is involved in training educators on topics related to museum education. Within this framework, she began writing children's books, including educational books, museum guides, mythology books, archaeological fairy tales, and historical novels, in both Greek and English. Many of these have been published by the Ministry of Culture, while others are available from major publishing houses. In 2016, her book "I Am the Lion of Kythira and I Have a Story to Tell You..." was adapted into a short animation film and won the audience award at the European Museums in Short competition in August 2018. In 2024, her book "The Lady of Eleusis and Other Stories" was honored with the Academy of Athens award.
