Zacharias G. Skouras

Zacharias Skouras holds a degree and a Ph.D. from the Department of Biology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). He has pursued further training and worked at research centers and universities across Europe. He is the author of scientific articles, papers, and books, as well as popularized articles in daily and electronic media, covering topics related to genetics, molecular biology, evolution, and bioinformatics. He has delivered lectures and participated in numerous radio and television programs, focusing on perceptions of life, nature, and society. He has taught and continues to teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the university, as well as intensive courses and seminars. Many undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as doctoral candidates, have completed their work under his guidance. He engages in discussions and dialogues at the intersection of science, philosophy, religion, society, and bioethics, striving to combine scientific reasoning, philosophical reflection, and everyday life. He is a Professor of Genetics and the General Secretary of the Interdisciplinary Center for Aristotelian Studies at AUTH.
