Dimitris Papaioannou

Dimitris Papaioannou developed his interest in environmental issues through his work as a chemical engineer specializing in water treatment. In 1981, he earned a doctoral degree from the Aachen University of Technology, and until 1997, he worked at ETBA, overseeing environmental matters in industrial areas. Since then, he has been teaching at Panteion University in the Department of Economic and Regional Development as an Assistant Professor, focusing on Environmental Policy. He has been an active member of the ecological movement in Greece and a member of the editorial team of the magazine "New Ecology." He is the author of numerous ecological articles in daily and periodical press.
