
Diana Gabaldon
Diana Gabaldon was born in 1952 in Arizona, USA. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Zoology and a Master's in Oceanography from the University of Arizona, as well as a Ph.D. in Ecology from the University of California. After twelve years of an academic career and working as a lab technician in research centers, she dedicated herself to writing.
The pinnacle of Gabaldon's literary maturity is the "Outlander" series, whose books have been translated into more than ten languages, achieved tremendous success, and remained on the New York Times Best-Seller List for a long time. The series includes the titles "Outlander" (1991), "Dragonfly in Amber" (1991), "Voyager" (1993), "Drums of Autumn" (1996), and "The Fiery Cross" (2001), and concludes with the title "A Breath of Snow & Ashes."
Diana Gabaldon is also the author of the novels "Lord John & The Private Matter" (2004) and "Naked Came the Phoenix" (2001). Her short stories have been included in the anthologies "Excalibur" (1995) and "Legends" (2003).
