Athanasios D. Styliadis

Certified Surveying Engineer from the Faculty of Engineering at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1980). Served as a reserve officer in information technology at the Army's Geographic Service / Computer Center (1980-1983, Athens). Worked as an engineer and advisor to the prefect on IT and computer issues in the Prefecture of Florina (1983-1985), from which he resigned to pursue postgraduate studies abroad. Earned an M.Sc. in Computer Science with a focus on 3D graphics systems from Dundee University (1988-1989, Scotland) and was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Informatics at the Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki (1989). Completed a Ph.D. in the broader area of CAD, GIS, and Modeling from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1997). He has authored over 40 scientific papers and participated in 18 international and Greek conferences with presentations.
