
Polyvios I. Strantzalis
Polyvios I. Strantzalis (Constantinople, 1961), a Doctor of Theology (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki), is a graduate of the Zografeion Lyceum of Constantinople and the Halki Theological School. He studied Theology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, pursued postgraduate studies in Church History, and furthered his education at the Ludwigsburg University of Education. He teaches in secondary education while completing his studies in Librarianship at the Department of Library Science in the School of Administration and Economics at the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki. He is proficient in Turkish, French, German, and English. His research interests focus on the history of education among the subjugated Greeks. He has participated in conferences concerning the Greeks of Constantinople and Asia Minor. His articles have been published in Eptalofos. His main independent works include: "The Parish School of Panagia and the Zografeion Lyceum of Constantinople: A Contribution to the History of Education of the Subjugated Greeks" (2003), and "Patriarch of Jerusalem Ephraim II the Athenian: His Contribution to Hellenism, Letters, and Ecclesiastical - Theological Issues of the 18th Century" (2003).
