Alan Bennett, one of the most popular British creators, is renowned for his film scripts and plays. As an actor, he has participated in significant theatrical productions as well as in films. In 1994, he adapted his popular play "The Madness of George III" for the cinema. The film was nominated for four Oscars and won the award for Best Art Direction. He was honored with the Tony Award for Best Play in 2004 for his work "The History Boys," and in 2005, he was named Writer of the Year by "Reader's Digest."
